Meet The Owner
Brian Grantlin is the proud owner of Great Barrier Foundations, bringing over a decade of hands-on construction experience and specialized expertise in crawl space and foundation repair to every project. Brian's path into the industry started young. At just 18 years old, he began his career in construction working in vinyl siding and gutters, later moving into roofing.
After several years in sales, he returned to his roots in construction, spending more than ten years as a general contractor. In total, Brian brings 12–15 years of broad construction experience to Great Barrier Foundations, including 5 years focused specifically on water management, crawl space repair, and foundation solutions.
Brian holds certifications as an IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and an IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT). He has also pursued specialized training programs in Tennessee and Missouri, deepening his understanding of how water and soil move around a home's foundation, and how to best protect it.
For Brian, crawl space and foundation work may not be glamorous, but it's some of the most meaningful work there is. Few homeowners ever set foot beneath their own homes, yet what happens down there directly impacts the health and safety of everyone living above — especially young children and older adults. Brian takes real pride in giving families a healthier home environment.
That same passion extends to the real estate side of the business. When hidden foundation or moisture issues threaten to derail a home sale, Brian and his team step in to help sellers move forward and buyers close with confidence — protecting what is often the biggest investment of their lives.
Just as important to Brian is the team behind Great Barrier Foundations. He takes pride in building a crew that's growing not just professionally, but personally — watching his team members develop their skills, provide for their families, and reach their own goals is one of the most rewarding parts of running the business.
Outside of work, Brian is a dedicated sports fan. He roots for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL and bleeds blue for the Kentucky Wildcats, cheering on SEC football and basketball. A former athlete himself, Brian credits his competitive drive to a lifetime spent playing sports — the same drive he brings to every job Great Barrier Foundations takes on.
